Brighton is a creative city with a blend of modern culture and exotic architecture, sea and countryside, and a distinctive free-spirited atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else.
Start your trip with a visit to the striking Royal Pavilion, the outside of this exotic palace may resemble a mini-Taj Mahal but once inside you’ll discover opulent rooms inspired by the Orient featuring dragons and a one-tonne chandelier!
After experiencing jaw-dropping culture vibes it’s time for foodie vibes with Brighton Food Tours. Go off the beaten track to meet exciting and unusual independent producers. Hear the stories, passions and politics behind their products and best of all, try some tasty samples…
Of course, you’ll need a souvenir or two to take home with you so head to the North Laine – a shopper’s paradise. There are plenty of vintage vibes with cool, retro shops selling vinyl, fashion and more. For a different shopping vibe visit The Lanes a wiggly labyrinth of delightful boutiques and jewellery stores.
After all that shopping you’ll have worked up a thirst but will it be pint vibes or cocktail vibes? Although if you fancy a glass of bubbly forget the Champagne and order a glass of local Sussex Sparkling Wine instead. Cheers!
Who needs sand when you have a beachfront full of galleries, cafes, restaurants and attractions?
No trip to Brighton is complete without visiting the vibrant beachfront. Start the day with a trip to the iconic Brighton Palace Pier, either enjoy a leisurely stroll followed by chilled-out vibes taking in the views or go for retro vibes with the funfair games.
Afterwards walk along the lower promenade and explore the quaint former fisherman’s arches which are now home to art galleries, cafes, shops, restaurants and a fishing museum. Head west until you reach the Brighton i360, board the pod and glide up 450 feet for a bird’s eye view of the coast, city and countryside. For adrenaline vibes you can book a walk on top of the pod or even an abseil down from it. Although you may prefer to visit in the evening and enjoy cocktail vibes instead.
In the evening you may want to return to one of the beachfront restaurants for fresh seafood by the sea or you may prefer to head back to the city for a night of culture. Perhaps an evening of music, comedy or dance at Brighton Dome, a spectacular musical or drama at Theatre Royal Brighton or the next big thing at one of Brighton grassroots music venues.
