A paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, one of the many highlights is the King Charles III England Coast Path, following the headland from Bempton down towards Bridlington. This stunning route showcases breathtaking coastal landscapes and is an opportunity to explore the rugged coastline, dramatic chalk cliffs, golden beaches, and diverse wildlife. 

Join the Hornsea Trans Pennine Trail, a favourite for both cyclists and walkers visiting the area. Stretching from the charming seaside town of Hornsea, the trail offers a mix of coastal views with rich countryside and is the ideal route for a leisurely ride, or take a stroll to soak up the serene spring atmosphere. 

Starting in Hessle, the Yorkshire Wolds Way also offers a unique experience for its visitors, with rolling hills and quaint villages enroute. The 79-mile National Trail showcases striking chalk landscapes, hidden valleys, accessible paths and tranquil rivers.

Toast the arrival of spring!

Celebrate the coming of spring in East Yorkshire with an exciting programme of events, from snowdrop walks and bluebells trails to exciting Easter hunts. 

As the first signs of spring emerge, East Yorkshire transforms into a floral paradise. Blanketed with thousands of delicate snowdrops many of the region’s woodlands become a breathtaking spectacle. Explore these stunning sights by visiting Burton Agnes Hall, Burnby Hall Gardens, Sewerby Hall and Gardens or Sledmere House with your camera at the ready. 

As the season progresses, spring also sees the arrival of rivers of blue flowers flowing through the woodlands as bluebells start to appear. Head to Wassand Hall and Gardens woodland walk or Beverley Westwood to witness these stunning displays.  

You will find no shortage of trails to join in with in East Yorkshire across Easter too. With many hotels, attractions and stately homes opening their doors, wander the carefully crafted themed gardens and well-kept woodlands completing Easter trails along the way. Then reward your hard work by enjoying a rest and bite to eat at  the on-site cafes or in one of the many surrounding eateries.
