Share new experiences with special people this year and create memories to last a lifetime.
On a blowy day, from Shoreham to Bracklesham Bay the sea will be dotted with multi-coloured kitesurfers and wing foilers. Try your hand at one of these exciting watersports, there’s expert tuition on hand. Or perhaps hire a kayak, canoe or paddleboard and meander along our rivers and harbours at your own pace, getting close to the local wildlife.
Book a guided mountain bike ride through the ever-beautiful South Downs National Park and stop for lunch at one of the county’s top vineyards, or stay right by the beach and combine both, the opportunities are endless.
Easy to get to (and hard to leave behind) West Sussex is just over an hour from London by train and perfect for a weekend break. Pack your overnight bag and bring some friends; we’ve no shortage of cosy pubs, delicious restaurants and did we mention the amazing sunsets?
Cheers! ‘Sussex’ wine has been officially recognised. Come on down and find out more.
There’s a good reason why ‘Sussex Wine’ was recently awarded it’s very own PDO (giving it the same legal status as Jersey Royal potatoes and Cornish clotted cream). One of the sunniest counties in the UK, vines flourish here and there’s a growing choice of wines and vineyards, each with its own distinctive character and vintage.
We have small, rustic family run businesses and world class wineries but all share a passion for what they do.
Book a vineyard experience and learn about the process from grape to glass with the added bonus of trying the estate’s finest. Many vineyards have their own restaurants; where better for a get-together! And if one vineyard is not enough, book a wine tour to compare and contrast the produce.
You can even stay at several of our vineyards too. It’s the perfect excuse for a celebration.
