The coastal town of Crosby on the Sefton Coast sits between Liverpool and Southport. It is perhaps most famous for Antony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’, 100 cast-iron men installed along the beach looking out to sea
Visitors can walk along the beach and promenade and see how the artwork changes with the tide and weather. Crosby is also rich in history, with famous residents including the Captain, Chief Engineer and Managing Director of the most famously ill-fated vessel of all time, the Titanic.
And if you need warming up after being on the beach, Crosby and its neighbouring town, Waterloo, are also home to a surprising number of Nepalese restaurants, including Da Gurkha and Da Mount Gurkha.
