Fine Art Photography of Leigh-on-Sea
The Old Town or Old Leigh is of historical importance, from the middle ages until the turn of the century it was a primary link on the shipping route to London. The Leigh fishing boats have always been focused on catching shellfish and whitebait. In Old Leigh itself, two pubs called The Peter Boat and Ye Olde Smack are named after the types of local fishing boats formally used, a Thames Bawley.
If you then add to the mix the National Nature Reserve (NNR), the area is rich with opportunity for the artists. We focus on two such artists Ian & Josephine James. They have spent a professional lifetime capturing those special moments in pictures.
