Thorpeness Golf Club and Hotel is home to James Braid's low lying heathland golf course. Designed in 1922, it's still one of the finest courses around, with fantastic ground making it playable all year round, in an area of outstanding natural beauty.Golfers can expect a challenging round, with the course winding through heather, gorse, pine and silver birch trees, hitting from firm quick drying soil with rare birdsong in their ears and the tang of sea salt in the air. The hotel provides a relaxing haven to enjoy an extended visit, home to Ogilvie's Grill House restaurant serving a wide range of classics, as well as Braid's Bar for comfortable drinking and dining.
